1972 BMW 2002 4 speed and Sunroof - Great Runner with 64K miles Up for auction is my 1972 BMW 2002 with manual transmission (4 speed) and equipped with a rare factory sunroof. This early car has the desirable round tail lights (commonly referred to as a “Roundie” ) and small chrome bumpers. It has 62,984K miles (maybe 162K?) and drives incredibly well. It’s a matching numbers car with its original engine and gearbox. Vin number is 2584693. The car comes with its original tool roll and owners manual. The car was stored for 18 years from 1997 - 2016 at which time I rescued it from a barn in West Virginia. Overall Condition: The car is currently registered in New York State, passed its annual New York State safety inspection and garaged in Huntington, New York. The car starts right up and runs strong all day long and drives like a dream. It is very smooth with great acceleration and good brakes. I can literally drive this car anywhere and feel that it is dependable for a long haul. Great ...

This is a. very fine example of one of the nicest cars BMW ever produced. No expense was spared in the maintenance of this car. I have owned this car for over ten years and while driving it only sparingly I have enjoyed every single moment of ownership. ONLY 61,150 original miles. Recent Work performed:This coupe was recently painted its original shade of Fjord Metallic blue. During the repaint the entire rocker panel assemblies were cut out and replaced with new panels (sourced in Germany) removing any traces of rust that had crept into the metal work. The interior was re-trimmed in its original cloth material. New OE carpets. Dash board was re-manufactured (by Just-Dashes) and replaced, all the dash and door wood panels were replaced with panels provided by Madera Concepts. The air conditioning system was replaced with a rotary Sanden type compressor. Extra large A/C condenser installed for extra cooling. New shock absorbers installed. Brake calipers rebuilt. New brake master cylinder. ...

Considering its inherent qualities, this car has the potential to be almost immortal. It is a goddess! However, I live in San Francisco and have enjoyed driving this amazing car since 1991, and due to increasingly strict smog regulations, it no longer can pass California's smog regulations. There are important considerations you need to assess before purchasing this hard-to-find car: 1) This car now requires some carburetor and possibly engine work, as the car has been tinkered with over the last two months--in attempt to have it pass smog. ( Should you wish to buy and use it in California, I have been told that a thermal reactor system may be needed to be added for it to pass smog regulations.) 2) The car shall need some tender loving care to be restored to its former state of head-turning beauty but it has already been prepped (that is, sanded and bonded); so it is actually ready to receive a coat of paint! It's hood, trunk, and driver's door have all been upgraded and replaced. PPG ...

1970 BMW 2800CS - I'll do my best to highlight everything about the car and a little history that I do know. Little about me and some history: The reason for selling this car is I have 3 other project cars that I am working on and I don't see myself getting to this car for 5 years. (1974 Mazda RX-4, 1985 Porsche 911, and 73 BMW 3.0CS) I will hopefully keep the cars and hand them down to my family, but it always seems someone comes up to me at a Cars and Coffee or Car show and offers me enough to make me sell. Then I regret it later. I've restored/modified some pretty nice cars in the past, including, 74 BMW 2002 with an S14, 93 Twin Turbo Supra, 87 Turbo Supra, 95 NSX, and on and on.. I typically buy cars that I intent to restomod. I never seem to leave my cars stock. I saw this car last year and wanted grabbed because I've always wanted to do a serious modified version of the IMSA style CSL. Time and reality is that I am not likely to get to this car in my "able" lifetime. In my mid-50s ...
